Khub.my — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Khub.my and any related services (the “Service”). The Service is operated by Khub Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 202401020428 (1566277-A)), a company incorporated in Malaysia, with its registered address at Suite 13-20, Level 13, Johor Bahru City Square, 106–108 Jalan Wong Ah Fook, 80888 Johor, Malaysia (“Khub”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What Khub.my Is

Khub.my is a search and catalogue convenience service that helps you find and play publicly available music and karaoke videos hosted on third-party platforms, principally YouTube. The Service:

• displays search results and curated listings of publicly available YouTube videos;
• plays those videos through YouTube’s official embedded player; and
• where a video cannot be embedded, links you out to watch it directly on YouTube.

Khub.my does not host, store, upload, copy, or distribute any video or audio content itself. All media is served by YouTube through its official player.

Relationship with YouTube

The Service uses the YouTube API Services. By using Khub.my, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Content played through the Service is delivered by YouTube and remains subject to YouTube’s terms, policies, and the rights of the respective content owners. Khub is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes, and not to:

• use the Service in any way that breaches the YouTube Terms of Service or any applicable law;
• attempt to download, copy, record, or redistribute content except as expressly permitted by the content owner or YouTube;
• interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its administrative functions;
• use any automated means to access, scrape, or harvest data from the Service; or
• misrepresent your identity.

Catalogue and Curation

Khub may curate, organise, tag, and label listings (including a “Khub Collection”) for ease of discovery. Such curation is descriptive only and does not transfer any ownership of, or rights in, the underlying content, which remains with its respective owners.

Administrative Access

Certain parts of the Service (such as catalogue management) are restricted and accessible only to authorised personnel. Unauthorised attempts to access restricted areas are prohibited.

Intellectual Property

The Khub.my name, branding, interface, layout, and original software are the property of Khub Sdn Bhd and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All third-party content remains the property of its respective owners. Khub claims no ownership over any music, video, or audio accessed through the Service.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular content will remain available, as availability depends on third-party platforms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Khub disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Khub Sdn Bhd, its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Khub Sdn Bhd from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia in respect of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above indicates when they were last revised. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
